There goes our love again – The White Lies

Josh Thomas produces this beautifully surreal promo, for White Lies, is a modern homage to 60s Bollywood thriller “Gumnaam”. DOP Carl Burk shot it on 35mm bringing the Rivioli Ballroom location and the 15 strong Dance routine to life with cinematic, sweeping crane shots and steady cam. The production had a very tight turnaround (4 days), giving Choreographer David Leighton and Stylist Alton Heteraki an incredibly tough deadline to come up with such a feat of bespoke genius. The joyful, exuberance of the dancers and slightly melancholy feel of the song makes for an interesting and abstract juxtaposition.
